Artistry is proud to present “An Anthological Journey: The Art of Luis Fitch,” an exhibition showcasing the extraordinary works of Mexican artist Luis Fitch from 2014 to 2024.

Luis Fitch is widely recognized for his bold, thought-provoking artistic expressions that explore Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. His work spans multiple mediums—including painting, wheat paste, stencil, and urban art—offering unique insights into identity, migration, and social justice.

This landmark exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of Fitch’s artistic evolution, highlighting key milestones in his career while demonstrating the thematic consistency of his creative vision. From his early explorations of Mexican folklore to his reflections on contemporary social issues, visitors can experience the depth and diversity of his work firsthand.

The exhibition features a curated selection of Fitch’s most iconic past exhibitions, including:

  • “Love/Hate” – a series addressing political divisions in the United States
  • “Dead Serious” – focusing on climate change and environmental preservation

Additionally, exclusive new works created specifically for this exhibition offer an exciting look at Fitch’s latest artistic innovations.

Engaging the Community with Hands-On Workshops

As part of the exhibition, Luis Fitch is hosting three free bilingual workshops for families. Participants can learn the traditional Mexican art of papel picado. These workshops provide hands-on instruction in intricate cutting techniques, allowing attendees to create papel picado designs inspired by Fitch’s work.

“We are thrilled to offer these workshops as part of the exhibition experience, providing our community with the opportunity to engage directly with Mexican cultural traditions,” says Producing Artistic Director Ben Bakken. “Through these workshops, participants learn a new skill and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind Fitch’s work.”
